Due to heavy snow, Fitey’s train home from the market isn’t running. He goes into the pub a few times to check the time on their clock before setting off for home on foot along the railway track. Stopping for a smoke after a few miles, he turns his back to the wind to light his pipe. Eventually he reaches the next station, only to discover that he forgot to turn round again and finds himself back at the station he started at.

Note: This appears to have been the final “Bitties Fae Barrowsgate” column for the Bon Accord newspaper. It is not known why it came to an end so suddenly.
