After getting his car going again and a change of plan, Rob and Mistress Barrowsgate set off towards the city in pursuit of the bus to Kilmaur. Eventually they catch up with it and, when Mistress Barrowsgate arrives in Kilmaur, she gets a lukewarm welcome from her father.
