Barrowsgate is stuck up on the roof of the croft house when tea time is called. Not realising that Mistress Barrowsgate has moved the ladder, he starts to fall but manages to catch himself but is stranded on the roof. In the meantime, Mistress Barrowsgate eats all the food so it doesn’t go to waste.

Mistress Barrowsgate is so exhausted from moving to the new croft that she takes to bed while Barrowsgate has to finish the list of tasks she has given him. Unfortunately, she forgot to tell him to put the base onto the bed and she falls onto the floor.
